I drink tea, both green and black, but for my pleasure, not to lose weight.
Tea contains caffeine which increases your expenditure of energy. But research on “bodily energy” shows that caffeine in the tea may not be the only reason for weight-loss. The flavonoids in tea is also thought to have an effect on weight-loss and body fat.
Oolong tea in particular is credited with being good for weight-loss. Oolong tea is a tea that can be described as being something between green tea and black tea.
Research is still continuing, but there is no conclusive results to say either green or oolong tea is directly responsible for weight-loss.
Drinking tea for weight-loss clearly works for some people but not necessarily for everyone, but it may work for you! Providing you do not overdo your caffeine intake, and upset your sleep pattern, then it will do you no harm!
Here’s another tip.

- A cup for the whole family!
Can’t find support? Invite your tea or coffee companions to walk with you. They may jump at the chance to start their own weight-loss plan.
I have several friends who I have invited on my walks. It works for me. (Maybe it’s because we usually finish with a coffee or tea after the walk!)
Remain positive. Losing weight is full of challenges to be faced and overcome. Refuse to put up with a life of misery. Accept the challenge, and find the satisfaction of a job well done.
