Weight-loss camps
One of the most disturbing visions I have witnessed is the sight of 20 overweight individuals, with no prior preparation being forced to jog. Puffing and blowing, lumbering miserably, and urged on mercilessly by some slim young thing in gym gear.

You probably have seen it too!
It is no matter how “fit” or young you are, if you are overweight, jogging puts extra stress and strain on your joints. It is a recipe for injury. I shudder each time I see a young person struggling with their excess weight load. Is it a case of ignorance or greed that sucks the unwary in to such bizarre weight-loss programs?
Lose weight first – only then can you begin jogging!
Beware of any weight-loss organization that gives guarantees, especially weight-loss camps.
The weight-loss Boot Camp that exercises near where I walk seems to have a huge turnover of clients. It’s no wonder. How many get injured with sore ankles and knees, not to mention strained muscles, on their first outing, and give up with the futility of it all?
When you select your weight-loss camp – check out my Five Factors.
Are they friendly and supportive towards your weight-loss ?Do they investigate and recommend what you eat?
Are they concerned about you state of stress?
Most importantly – do they exercise caution, and insist you lose weight first, before vigorous exercise?
One more thing: The most important decision of all.
If you have made your mind to lose weight, you surely will put it back on again unless:
YOU COMMIT TO A CHANGE IN LIFESTYLE – FOR EVER.
Weight-loss not easy. Persist even if at first weight-loss seems out of your reach. Things gets easier once you decide to improve your health as well.
